A fake snake placed on a desk or an emptied out locker are just a few ideas that the newspaper staff have created for a new article called “The Joke’s on You.” The purpose of it will be to change the old everyday routine to students’ lives and, in turn, shake things up a bit. The conditions are that the people involved in the prank cannot cause bodily harm or harm to any possessions of the person being pranked. There also won’t be any permanent damage caused. Going around the school, newspaper reporters asked a random class what they thought of the idea of The Joke’s on You. As a whole they thought it was a great idea. A brown-haired biology and anatomy teacher, “I think it is a good idea, but I wouldn’t sign up to be pranked.” An example of a prank that might be played is the old spider on a string trick. The prank would entail is putting a fake spider on some fishing string, and sneaking up behind the selected victim to scare the “bageezes” out of them. When asked what he thought, Tucker Faust (11) said, “It’s a brilliant and practical idea.” It involves students in the school signing up to be pranked (Under certain conditions of course). Not wishing to cause any unwanted discomfort, there is going to a sign up sheet passed around by the newspaper to all advisors at the end of the first quarter so individuals can sign up for this entertaining experience. Contact Hannah Glines through email or google document if you would like to be pranked.
