The EHS Red Ink would like to take this time to remember one of the darkest days in American history. On September 11, 2001, nearly 3,000 lives were lost; the United States was in a state of emergency and panic. Americans had lost their sense of security. Now, ten years later, citizens stand united as this country still fights in the War on Terror. This day in history marks more than just the tenth anniversary of 9/11, but the first anniversary where the man responsible for these attacks has been brought to justice. Take a moment to remember the lives lost not only in the attacks, but in the war resulting from them.
Note: September 11 was designated Patriot Day by the United States Congress.
